Breeding Season Kicks Off at Four Locust Farms

Spring is here, the grass is greening up, and that means one thing on our historic Century Farm: it’s time to turn the bulls out with the ladies.

We’re starting slow and smart—introducing our two youngest bulls to the herd first. These boys are full of energy and already showing a little friendly competition as they figure out their place among the cows. It’s fun to watch them test the waters while the ladies just go about their grazing like pros.

Tomorrow we’ll add our big man, Pete, our largest bull. Once he joins the group, things are going to get even more interesting!

Nature doesn’t waste time… and neither do our Angus bulls.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on everyone over the next few weeks and will share updates (and plenty of calf photos come fall) as the season rolls along. Thank you for following along with our little cow-calf operation—your support means the world to our family farm.

Until next time,
